We’ve had to wait two years, but finally the fantasy series The Wheel of Time returns to Prime Video on September 1st with a twist-filled second season.
The series again stars Rosamund Pike as Moraine Damodred, a powerful Aes Sedai in search of a dragon reborn. The plot follows the novels of Robert Jordan. However, fans who have seen all eight episodes of this second season know that even at the end of this opus, there will be a lot to say.
And good news, because there really will be a Season 3 of The Wheel of Time! Created by Raf Judkins, the series was renewed for a 3rd season even before the 2nd season started. Prime Video made the announcement on July 21.
Raf Judkins said about it Deadline :”I’m thrilled that we’re doing a third season of The Wheel of Time. Rise of Darkness It was always my favorite book in the series. The opportunity to bring it to television and introduce a new audience to the stories that made me love these books is such an honor, and it’s something I’ve been working on since I launched the series years and years ago.“.
When will season 3 be available?
It’s hard to say when the third season of The Wheel of Time will be. Almost two years have passed between Seasons 1 and 2, but since Season 3 went into production even before Season 2 was released, we hope it arrives sooner.
Given the monumental scale and depth of the series, it’s conceivable that fans will have to wait another two years for the third season to arrive. With high production costs and the need for significant VFX work, don’t expect Season 3 to arrive until late 2024/early 2025.
