David Beckham: What movie does the ex-footballer appear in on Netflix?

We knew football player David Beckham and now we know David Beckham as a fashion icon, a successful businessman and even David Beckham as the president of Inter Miami FC football club (the North American club where he now plays Lionel Messi).

But we know much less about movie actor David Beckham! If he did not fully master the profession of an actor, unlike his former teammate Eric Cantona, the former English footballer still appeared in several feature films, both in his own role and in composite characters.

Thus, David Beckham appears in the credits of the feature film King Arthur: The Legend of Excalibur, directed by Guy Ritchie. Not in the lead role, of course, given to Charlie Hunnam, nor as one of the Knights of the Round Table.

The London native lends his features to a supporting character named Trigger, who appears during the sequence in which Arthur retrieves the sword Excalibur from the base of the stone. In this case, Beckham did not hesitate to make himself look ugly with a prosthetic nose and fake scars on his face.

Note that David Beckham has previously appeared in a Guy Ritchie film, as he played a Russian projectionist in his spy film Very Special Agents – Code UNCLE. His other credits as a fictional actor include the series Modern Family and two films Goal!, each time in his own role.

Beckham’s documentary series and film King Arthur: The Legend of Excalibur are now available on Netflix.
