This Friday (06) the “quarter-finals” of group A of the men’s volleyball Pre-Olympic took place. With four teams still fighting for two places at Paris 2024, whoever loses in this final stretch will be further from their goal. Outside the league table, Brazil recovered from the setback suffered by Germany and won their second consecutive match by beating Cuba, and moved up to second place, but Italy defeated Iran in straight sets in the next match and took the position.

In the other two matches in Group A, Ukraine beat Qatar 3 sets to 1 and remained with a remote chance of qualifying, despite being in fifth place, five points and two wins behind the last placed team. In the last match of the day in group A, Germany faces the Czech Republic and remains unbeaten in the Pre-Olympic.
