When and where will “Wheel of Time” season 3 be released?
In July 2022, ahead of the release of Season 2, which just ended, Prime Video announced a renewal of The Wheel of Time. Enough to give the teams enough time to write the scripts for Season 3.
Unfortunately, in the meantime, there was a writers’ and actors’ strike, halting all American productions. While filming began in April 2023 in Prague and was due to continue until October, the teams had to vacate the building. As of now, we don’t know when they will be able to resume filming for Wheel of Time Season 3.
We had to wait two years between the first two seasons, and that period seems justified for the next season. The series is logically not due to return to our screens until 2025. Except for the big surprise.

The writers also announced the return of Min, Loyal, Alana, Lin, Liandrin, Padan Fein, Maxim, and Verin.
Will there be a Wheel of Time season 4?
As of now, Prime Video has not announced a Season 4 of The Wheel of Time, even if there is plenty to do since the literary saga has 14 volumes. If the fantasy series is one of the most watched on the platform in the world, the viewing figures for the second season are lower than the previous one. Given the significant budget required to produce it, Amazon Prime will certainly have to lower its expectations. It remains to be seen if there will be subscribers in the future. Otherwise, you will have to give it up.
