The Crown Season 6: Two Dates and a Teaser for the Netflix Series Finale!

Remove the tissues as The Crown begins its sixth and final season, a terrifying one that will feature the tragic death of Lady Diana. And Netflix reveals in a teaser for this final season that it won’t air in one block.

As the platform has done in the past — and with successful series — this season of The Crown will air in two separate parts. The first four episodes will be available from November 16. As for the second part of the season, which includes six episodes, you will have to wait an additional four weeks until December 14.

We recognize here a strategy that is becoming a repeat at Netflix, which has already split new seasons of its hits with the latest seasons of Stranger Things, You and The Witcher. And The Crown is no exception to the rule, considering it’s one of the biggest hits on the platform.

In this short teaser, the series seems to look back on the entire life of Queen Elizabeth II. We see her played first by Claire Foy, then by Olivia Colman – who gave her features in previous seasons – before her current interpreter, Imelda Stoughton, who looked serious. After Olivia Colman declared that she was the queen of “It is not a choice, it is a dutyImelda Staunton asks:But what about the life I put off?“.

The final season spans from 1997 to 2005. The first part will be devoted to the relationship between Princess Diana (Elizabeth Debic) and Dodi Al-Fayed (Khalid Abdallah) and the tragic car accident in Paris that killed them in 1997. The second part will cover the marriage of Prince Charles (Dominic West) and Camille Parker Bowles (Olivia Williams), and focus on Charles’ sons, namely William (Ed McVeigh) and Harry (Luther Ford).

The Crown has won 21 Emmy Awards over the past five seasons, including Outstanding Drama Series for Season 4. Series creator Peter Morgan is producing alongside Susan Mackie, Andy Harris, Stephen Daldry, Matthew Byam Shaw and Robert Fox.

Will this season 6 live up to expectations? You’ll have to wait until November 16 to find out.
