After a first half in which they conceded three goals, Sport looked for a draw against Ponte Preta, and remains alive in search of access to Serie B
At the end of the 31st round of the Brazilian Serie B, Sport and Ponte Preta drew 3-3, against Ilha do Retiro, on Monday evening (9). Macaca took a 3-0 lead thanks to goals from Jeferson Jeh and Maílton, twice. However, Leão showed strength and managed to equalize with goals from Vagner Love, Jorginho and Fabrício Daniel.
With the draw, Sport misses the golden opportunity to defeat league leaders Vitória. Leão remains second, with 55 points. Ponte Preta continues its winning streak and is close to the relegation zone, with 34 points, four more than Chapecoense, who open the Z-4.
Now Sport will return to the pitch only on the 16th of this month, against Juventude, at the Alfredo Jaconi, at 8pm. Ponte Preta, on Sunday, at the Moisés Lucarelli, hosts Atlético-GO, at 3.45pm.
