Netflix did not wait and renewed this fantastic series 9 days after its release

Castlevania Season 2: Nocturne will definitely see the light of day! A few days after its triumphant launch, the animated series has been officially picked up for an additional season by the platform. Which should fill with joy many fans who have been asking for the continuation of the program through social networks!

An adaptation of the famous video game franchise of the same name, Castlevania: Nocturne also functions as a prequel to the Castlevania series, one of the top-rated Netflix anime by internet users of AlloCiné (discover its audience rating).

Since its release on September 29, this new Netflix production has entered the top 10 most-watched series on the platform, with a total of 4.4 million views worldwide (or 16.8 million hours watched).

Set during the French Revolution, Castlevania: Nocturne follows the story of Richter Belmont, heir to a famous demon hunting clan. The latter is on the trail of a being who claims to be the “vampire messiah”.

A mix of fantasy, action and horror, Castlevania: Nocturne is aimed at mature audiences (the series is also rated 18+ on Netflix). The first season, which consisted of eight episodes, ended with the return of a character well known to fans of the franchise, so fans were offered to review the outlines of the plot of the next season.
