The name chosen for Joker 2, “Folie à Deux”, is already known as “delirium for two” in the Portuguese translation. The meaning would be an induced delusional disorder or a shared delusional disorder, in which the psychotic delusions of a patient, called the primary psychotic, are transferred to an apparently healthy person, called the secondary patient.
Those who followed the plot of the first film can already imagine that it will follow the same path. It may seem strange due to the dark atmosphere that accompanies the story, but perhaps the presence of Lady Gaga in the cast justifies this approach.
Scott Silver is co-writer of the new feature (and already worked on the production of the first), while Bradley Cooper has joined the production. The actor has already starred with Gaga in A Star Is Born (2018). Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, Jacob Lofland and Harry Lawtey make up the cast, as well as Zazie Beetz, who will return in the role of Sophie Dumond.

The release date of Joker 2 is scheduled to debut in theaters exactly 5 years after the release of the first film. The last photo from the film was published on director Todd Phillips’ Instagram profile.
