A 23-year-old man died this Wednesday afternoon (11), during an approach by the Military Brigade in the Santa Tereza neighborhood, in the southern area of Porto Alegre.
Officers from the 1st Military Police Battalion received information about the presence of an armed man and, upon arriving at the scene, encountered the suspect, who allegedly shot at the police officers after resisting their approach.
In response to the attack, the police responded and the individual was shot. He was immediately taken to the Emergency Hospital (HPS), but succumbed to his injuries and died around 5.30pm. According to information from the Military Brigade, the young man had a history linked to drug trafficking.
