One of the most anticipated projects in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), the new version of the “Fantastic Four” film, due out in 2025, will be “unlike anything you’ve ever seen in Marvel,” according to the film’s director, Matt Shakman.
According to him, responsible for directing the popular Disney+ series WandaVision, the project, which is part of phase 6 of the MCU, will surprise everyone.
Shakman, who also worked on the series Succession, Game of Thrones and The Boys, told the website Collider who cannot reveal much more about the work, whose screenwriter is Josh Friedman (Avatar: The Way of Water).

As for the main cast, the director explained that he cannot say anything due to the Hollywood actors’ strike. However, a plan for the official announcement should be drawn up as soon as the strike ends.
“Like I said, we’re in the middle of a SAG strike [Sindicato dos Atores de Hollywood]and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that they’ll get a great deal soon and we can come back,” Shakman said. “So once we get this resolved, there will be a plan.”
The Fantastic Four is expected to arrive in theaters on February 14, 2025, as “the next big pillar of the MCU”, according to Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios and the main creative mind behind the Marvel Cinematic Universe since 2007, who has already assured it. the film will not be an origin story.
