Just a few months after Dead City aired, and while Daryl Dixon has yet to be released in our region, the third spin-off of the horror series The Walking Dead is getting ready to make its big television debut!
This new series will be called The Ones Who Live and will allow fans of the license to find two iconic characters: Rick Grimes and Michonne. The former sheriff, who has been missing since his presumed death in season 9, has joined a mysterious society that also includes Jadis, the former leader of the Garbage Kids clan.
Therefore, the Katan warrior, unable to accept the disappearance of his companion, embarked on a search mission to find traces of Rick. The latter did not hesitate to abandon their two children, Judith and RJ, who confided in the other survivors of the series, and especially Daryl.
The Rick Grimes spin-off was originally slated for theatrical release before eventually being announced as a trilogy of TV movies (as The Continental series, adapted from the John Wick films). And finally, this project, which has been under development for several years, will be completed in the form of a mini-series.
Along with the program’s main headliner, Andrew Lincoln, Michonne’s translator Danai Gurira will also be in the credits as a co-creator of the program for his part in writing the episodes.
The miniseries The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live will air in February 2024 on the American channel AMC, but does not yet have a broadcast in France.
