Lupine: what happened in seasons 1 and 2

Netflix’s most-watched series of 2021 once again brings audiences intriguing scenes, disturbing endings and unresolved issues that will have a breathtaking outcome! But don’t worry, we’re not here to give you spoilers about season three, but rather to remind you why you wanted it to come so much. Relive with us the salient details of this fascinating story.

Season 1

For starters, Lupine brings with him that antihero essence that we love, with a kind of good thief who seeks justice. Its protagonist, Assane Diop, is brilliantly played by actor Osmar Sy.

Assane is of Senegalese origins and has been on a true journey in search of justice since his father was accused of stealing a precious necklace from a powerful family he worked for. The character is inspired by the techniques learned from Arsène Lupine (a character from Maurice Leblanc’s book) to devise a revenge plan against his father’s main enemy, Hubert Pellegrini, his former boss.

In the first season, the scenes show how the tragic story of Assane’s father, Babakar, happened, who, falsely accused of having stolen the necklace, due to an ambitious plot by his boss Hubert, ends up being arrested and taking his own life in prison. .

Without his father, Assane receives a cash donation that will pay for his education at an elite school, where he meets his future wife, Claire. After a few years, Assane puts into practice the techniques learned from Lupine and becomes a good swindler and has a son with Claire, whose name is Raoul.

Marie Antoinette’s necklace, used by the Pilgrims to accuse their father, reappears and goes up for auction, leaving an opening for Lupine to plan his revenge plan and steal the necklace.

In the midst of all this, he discovers a message left by his father in prison in which he talks about the situation they have prepared for him, making him even more determined to expose the Pellegrini family. However, the series heads into a more dangerous area for our antihero: a journalist who tries to help him is killed and her son is kidnapped.

Season 2

In this second season, Lupine manages to find his kidnapped son and then returns to focus on his revenge plan to put an end to the Pilgrims. But to do so he ends up getting closer to an old love from his past, Juliette, none other than the daughter of Humbert, his worst enemy.

From there he gets information about a charity event at which Hubert will be present and goes there, once again trying to carry out his plan.

And, finally, the answers will only come in the third season, available on Netflix from October 5th, run there and tell us in the comments what you think of the new episodes!
