Is it worth checking out?

Silver and Blood describes a crazy story… but still very real and not so far-fetched. As thrilling and dizzying as it is, this story tells how two crooks and a trader lined their pockets thanks to a surprisingly simple scam. One of the strengths of the series is the clarity with which the system and its shenanigans are explained.

So, no panic for those who are not familiar with the carbon quota market. The character of the investigator played by Vincent Lyndon (especially convincing in his role) is our guide throughout this hunt… very thorough, this man with personal suffering, who then turns all his frustrations on the situation of harming criminals. .

The thugs played by Ramsay Bedia and David Ayala are illegal, intolerable, obscene… but sometimes funny too! And a little leniency doesn’t hurt here. Nils Schneider, for his part, plays their partner, who is completely detached from reality and, like his friends, blinded by his greed and ambition to screw up the system. As well as the one who lends his qualities to the antagonist on screen, the three actors are excellent.

One more thing is certain, silver and blood lives up to its name! On the money side, it’s crazy grandeur, wealth and depravity on display. In terms of blood, it also gets complicated as the story unfolds for our (anti)heroes… In these two aspects, certain scenes that could be classified under the “WTF” category still actually happened.

Xavier Gianoli, the creator, fully accepts the fictional part of his work, while relying on the rigorous and extensive research of Fabri Harp, the author of the book. Silver and blood. In each series, we feel the director’s meticulousness and investment in solving the mystery of these troubled souls who are obsessed with their personal gain rather than the common good.

The only downside is that originally designed for a smaller number of episodes, the series eventually spans twelve parts. This probably explains the feeling of length that can occur at certain moments…

Despite this moment, the suspense, twists and drama make for a gripping episode, controlled from start to finish and very well documented. Everything is served by a top-notch cast, with a special mention for Vincent Lyndon. One of the autumn events that you should not miss.
