The new ASUS ROG Z790 motherboards appear among the leaks

Official images of ASUS ROG’s Z790 motherboards have been leaked, showing the MAXIMUS Z790 FORMULA, MAXIMUS Z790 APEX ENCORE, and STRIX Z790-F GAMING models.

The new models of ASUS ROG’s Z790 motherboards were revealed in a recent leak, showing a total of three items, including two from the MAXIMUS line and one from the STRIX line, both at the top of the ROG line. Leaked official images show that they all have support for Wi-Fi 7, a large number of 10Gbps USB 3.2 ports, and Thunderbolt 4 Type-C.

ROG MAXIMUS Z790 FORMULA matches the white configurations, with a cleaner design and a tool-free customization system, where covers can be removed with the press of a button to add an M.2 SSD or other components. Furthermore, the default network port (Ethernet) is 5G to provide high speed and stability.

The ROG MAXIMUS Z790 APEX ENCORE is available in a black version and has a good finish, showing a little more components than the Z790 FORMULA, as it has fewer boards hiding the circuitry. The only noticeable difference in the images is an additional fan that can be added for better air circulation over the graphics card, in addition to the 2.5G Ethernet port.

Finally, the ROG STRIX Z790-F GAMING WIFI II is the one with the fewest leaked images, showing only the traditional antenna that comes with the traditional “WIFI” models in the line. It is worth mentioning that more details will only be revealed with the official press release from ASUS.
