Officers from the National Security Force and the Federal Highway Police (PRF) began working together to openly patrol federal highways in the state of Rio this Tuesday (17), the PRF superintendent reported on Monday (16).

Before a meeting with entrepreneurs at the Federation of Industries of the State of Rio de Janeiro (Firjan), the Minister of Justice and Public Security, Flavio Dino, said that, at this time, the National Force will not operate in communities in the capital of Rio de Janeiro.
Dino added that the government is also strengthening federal police teams in the port of Rio and Guanabara Bay. “Another axis is the intelligence and investigations that we are strengthening with the Federal Police with the aim of decapitalizing criminal organizations and identifying money laundering schemes”, said the minister.
