If you eat, drink, play and experience Netflix, then this information should interest you. The American streaming giant actually planned to launch a crazy project by 2025: large shopping malls dedicated to their company and their content. Bloomberg.
Subscribers will be able to immerse themselves in the world of their favorite movies and series, purchase merchandise and related products, enjoy themed meals and engage in certain sports and fun activities that highlight the streaming service’s flagship content.
Netflix stores coming soon!
The first two malls, dubbed “Netflix House,” will open in the United States in 2025, according to Josh Simon, Netflix’s vice president of consumer products, before the concept expands globally.
This project is a logical continuation of the marketing and commercial strategy of the American giant, which often launches pop-ups and other ephemeral entertainment venues to promote its films and series around the world.
Netflix also launched TUDUM two years ago, a global event that brings together fans to make special announcements and offer them exclusive content from their favorite entertainment.

The first virtual post-COVID event, this event took place in São Paulo, Brazil this year and allowed thousands of subscribers to share a good time amid activities, food, red carpets, screenings and exclusive announcements.
The success of TUDUM, pop-ups — and even the recent Netflix Bites restaurant in Los Angeles — made Netflix execs want to take the concept and create permanent locations, as Josh Simon explained:
“We’ve seen how much fans love immersing themselves in the world of our movies and series, and we’ve been thinking a lot about how to take that to the next level.”.
The streaming market leader is hot on the heels of Disney, one of its direct competitors on the Disney+ platform, as Netflix launches its own “Disneyland” of these types of stores/parks. It remains to be seen if the community will be there and if these Netflix homes will become as must-see places as Disneyland.
