“A Warner Bros. has been at the center of entertainment in America and around the world for an incredible hundred years and is home to so many beloved stories and franchises. We are incredibly excited to bring many of the biggest and most passionate fans back to comics or for the first time, as we work with WBD and wonderful creators to bring new stories to fans!” said Nick Barrucci, CEO and publisher of Dynamite, in a statement.
The first comic of this new wave will be a Thundercats series, written by Declan Shalvey and drawn by Drew Moss. The popular 1980s cartoon has been adapted several times over the years, including crossovers with other universes, such as DC Comics, and even comparisons with He is a man.

Dynamite promises to update the basic elements and deepen the mythology built by the franchise, across all the cartoons and their comic adaptations. The first story arc will delve into the world of Third Earth, show what the planet was like in its “early days”.
The announcement of the partnership between Warner and Dynamite includes ThunderCats, The Flintstones, The Powerpuff Girls, Space ghost, Johnny Quest, The Wizard of Oz AND Bears without a route. However, for now, only details of the warrior cats have been released to the public – and will we see some interaction with the “shared universe” in some titles?
Well, we’ll see the answers from Thunder Cats #1scheduled for February 2024.
