He goes and returns. On October 31, the Prime Video platform will remove three films from its catalog, and no less. Subscribers will have to say goodbye to a sci-fi masterpiece and two of the best DC movies of recent years.
You see, we’re obviously talking about Interstellar, The Dark Knight, and The Dark Knight Rises, which were released between 2008 and 2014. Three feature films that are among the highest rated in Christopher Nolan’s filmography.
The Dark Knight (2008): 4.5/5 according to viewers
In 2008, in the suit of the Dark Knight, Christian Bale met the great Joker, played by the unforgettable Heath Ledger. With The Dark Knight, Christopher Nolan and his brother Jonathan proved that we could very well make a quality and, above all, realistic superhero movie.
While a large portion of the audience appreciated the feature film, there was one person who tried to capitalize on its success. And this is the mayor of a small town in Turkey… Batman. Hussain Kalkan, on his behalf, announced in 2008 that he wanted to file a lawsuit against Warner for using the name without their consent. But not only. She blames the film for the unsolved murders in her town, as well as the high suicide rate among women. The appeal failed logically.

The Dark Knight Rises (2012): 4.3/5 according to viewers
If the sequel, 4 years later, did not do so well with the audience ratings, fans still responded by saying goodbye to Christian Bale. In this final opus, which closes the Nolan trilogy, Bruce Wayne meets Bane, a supervillain played by Tom Hardy who wants to make Batman and the citizens of Gotham pay.
A character that may never have appeared in The Dark Knight Rises. In a recent podcast, David S. Goyer (one of the screenwriters) revealed that a Warner executive insisted that Leonardo DiCaprio star in the film and play one of Batman’s greatest enemies, the Riddler. Apparently rejected by the Nolans, who preferred Bane, a supervillain who was born in the prison on the island of Santa Prisca, where Bruce was also locked up a few years ago.

Interstellar (2014): 4.5/5 by viewers
Interstellar is considered one of the best science fiction films of recent years. Nolan’s feature film wowed with its poetry, environmental message, and compelling human story, played by an impeccable Matthew McConaughey.
Most viewers who discovered it in the cinema in 2014 were very surprised by the appearance of actor Matt Damon in the second half of the film. And for good reason, it is not credited at all. Christopher Nolan himself wanted the choice. What’s even more amazing is that the actor plays one of the main villains of the film. He tricks the crew of the Endurance into believing their planet is habitable (when it isn’t) in hopes of survival.
