Spoiler ahead of the episode of June 14th. America has talent Season 17.
America has talent attracts artists from all over the world, as well as from all over the United States, and a teenage singer from Poland gave a performance with enough power that Simon Cowell (which was faked last week) didn’t hesitate to hit the golden bell to jump straight to season 17. Congratulations on Sara Giacomowhile joining the ranks of avery dixon Yes Madison Taylor Baez to have a guaranteed place to live shows!
Simon Cowell was clearly moved by his story before he even started singing his cover of Billie Eilish’s “Lovely”. The 13-year-old arrived from Poland to California with a dream after seeing AG video on YouTube and was visibly nervous. It was the first time Sara James had visited the United States and she wanted to participate in the show because she had heard that “dreams come true” in the United States and she wanted to see if it was true.
Based on Cowell’s reaction and how thrilled she was to receive the gold buzzer, I think it’s safe to say that she AG the dream has already come true. To take a look at:
Any singer Simon Cowell himself says has a “shining star” would have a lot to be proud of, with or without the gold ring. It is further testament to his stage presence that Cowell rang the bell after acknowledging he “wasn’t perfect”. He told her the story of when he first arrived in the United States (over 20 years ago) and how it was a time he will never forget, and he also wanted to give her such a moment.
Depending on Sara James’ performance once she returns to the stage with the live performances, AG can give you many other moments that you will never forget! Simon Cowell was certainly not the only person present who was impressed by her performance, and she would clearly have been voted upfront by her. Howie Mandel, Heidi KlumYes Sofia Vergara so did Cowell even though he didn’t have that golden bell. The other three rose to a standing ovation for her.
There aren’t a lot of gold bells to ring either, and I actually thought Simon Cowell could have rung one for NFL players composing a choir if he had a spare. Howie Mandel rang the bell for 11-year-old Madison Taylor Baez and her incredible rendition of “Amazing Grace” and teams of sponges awarded his buzzer to saxophonist Avery Dixon after showing his talent and telling his heartwarming story. (You can re-broadcast these episodes with a Peacock subscription.) Now that Sara James has received the honor from Cowell, only Sofia Vergara and Heidi Klum end up with a golden buzzer in season 17.
Sofia Vegara seemed tempted to outdo 18-year-old Aussie dancer Max Ostler after his performance (which you can watch here), but she still held out. Find out whose she and Heidi Klum go straight to live broadcasts with new episodes of America has talent, airing Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
