Botafogo still believes in overturning the postponement of the match against Fortaleza, previously scheduled for this Tuesday (24). But the STJD rejected Glorioso’s injunction, who asked for the date to be kept. Glorioso therefore will not actually take the field and has had to change plans for this Monday. The delegation took advantage of the day to present themselves again and train at CT Lonier, West Zone of Rio.
According to Botafogo’s intentions, the team will travel to Fortaleza on Monday. The intention would be to play against Tricolor do Pici, at Castelão, even two days after entering the field for the final part of the match against Atletico-PR. Even though the club was planning to play this Tuesday, the CBF maintained the postponement of the match. The delegation thus began preparing for next Sunday’s match, against Cuiabá, in the Brasileirão.
The Bianconeri’s intention was to keep the match against Fortaleza for Tuesday, given that the opponent would take the field with an alternative team. After all, Leão will play next Saturday, in Paraguay, the final of the Copa Sudamericano, against LDU. Even with the “hurry” and little rest time, Botafogo saw a chance to score against a weakened opponent.
Currently seven points ahead at the top of the Brasileirão, Glorioso is at 59, against Bragantino’s 52. Without the postponement, Botafogo continues to await the rescheduling of the match, which is expected to move to the FIFA period, in the second week of November.
