Simon Barry took to Twitter to clarify his stance on the Warrior Nun film trilogy currently in development.
Recently, fans of Warrior nun received some good news: the story had been saved after its cancellation by Netflix. No third season in sight, but rather a trilogy of films, which would conclude Ava’s story (Alba Baptist) and the rest of the Brotherhood. Since then we have no more information, starting with the channel or platform on which it will be broadcast.
Subsequently, however, the creator of the series, Simon Barryhe took to Twitter to clarify his position on the matter – and the bad news is that he won’t be there.
HEY #WarriorNun family, thank you for all your comments/messages/questions etc.
For your information, I have no idea what will be announced tomorrow. I am not part of the team producing the films and have not made any arrangements for any writing or directing services. I’m 👀 with you. pic.twitter.com/L0kqmlXDb1

“Hi, Warrior Nun family. Thank you for all your comments, messages, questions… For the record, I don’t know what will be announced tomorrow. I am not part of the production team for the films and have not been offered to write or direct .”
A surprising message considering that he was responsible for the series on Netflix, that he massively supported the fan campaign and that he knows the universe very well. Who better than Simon Barry to answer the unanswered questions and ensure this trilogy stays true to tone?
It is an announcement that does not bode well for what is to come and that…
