Paramount+ announces premium plan with 4K support; Brazil is on the list

Brazil will be one of the first countries in the world to receive the new Paramount+ premium package. The new subscription plan arrives in the country in November. The confirmation came from the same streaming platform during the presentation of the results of the last quarter.

The new subscription option will cost R$34.90 per month or R$309.90 per year. Currently the platform only has two plans available: the basic one, exclusively for mobile devices at R$14.90, and the standard one, which allows two simultaneous screens and the possibility of downloading content to watch offline.

With the new subscription options, the company wants to reach different types of consumers, from those who want to pay less to those who seek a more complete content experience.

According to the streaming platform, the news will only be accessible from the Paramount+ application on some specific systems. They are: iOS, Android, Apple tvOS, AmazonFire, Google, Roku and Samsung TV.

The new plan is expected to reach LG TVs, VIDAA/Hisense, Xbox and the Amazon Prime Video app in 2024.

Additionally, the company confirmed that it plans to launch a new, cheaper subscription model with listings in countries like Australia and Canada. This option, however, is not expected to reach Brazil.
