Weg announced on Tuesday an agreement to acquire a 45% stake in German Bewind, a company specializing in the engineering and development of technologies for wind turbines and their components.
“The acquisition is part of Weg’s growth strategy in power generation solutions in the power generation, transmission and distribution (GTD) sector,” the Brazilian company said in a note to the market.
According to Weg, Bewind has a team of around 30 professionals working on developing new technologies and power generation equipment designs, as well as providing services and consultancy.
The company did not disclose the value of the transaction.
