Elite will finally have a final season. A Netflix announced that the eighth season of the Spanish series will be the last. Without a confirmed release date yet, the new chapters will bring the result of the production that debuted in streaming in 2018, telling the story of a group of privileged young people who study at Las Encinas, one of the most renowned and expensive private schools in the world. So far the company has not released many details about the final season, but what is known is that actress Mina El Hammani will return to the plot reprising the role of Nadia Shanaa, Omar’s sister. The new names are due to Ane Rot (The Killer Readers Club), who will play Emilia, and Nuno Gallego who will play Héctor. Unfortunately, there is no further information about their characters yet.

As for the plot, the seventh season it concluded by showing Isadora handing her father over to the police and revealing the deceptions of her family and Rocío’s mother. Therefore, the new episodes should show the blonde recovering and, possibly, establishing a romance with Didac. Plus, with Raul’s death, Chloe can now feel free to find another love again.

It is also expected that the script will give a worthy ending for Omar and that Jéssica, the role of Anitta, will gain greater relevance, although there is no indication that she will be given prominence.

What does the creator say about season 8?

Through his social networks, Carlos Montero, the creator of the series, was proud of the production he created and commented on it Elite There was a bit of everything.

In the next season, Montero and Jaime Vaca will return to lead the writing team, and it will be directed by Daniel Barone, Ginesta Guindal, Jota Linares and Elena Trapé. Co-creator Darío Madrona is no longer involved with the series.

The success of the Elite

Launched as a teen drama series, Elite attracted the attention of Netflix subscribers for its mysterious plot and numerous sex scenes. Since 2018, the production has been successful in streaming, even if the latest seasons leave something to be desired in terms of script.

However, the work remains one of the most successful from the Tudum house and, on Rotten Tomatoes, it obtained an approval rating of 98% from specialized critics. As far as the general public is concerned, the result was a bit disappointing: only 68% approval.
