David is going through a very difficult time. This is where it all begins. Indeed, the character played by Liam Helman is under the influence of Hippolyte (Tom November), the new head of the culinary school, who was once the mentor of Lysandro (Agustín Galliana, who announced his departure).
Beating, humiliation… Deva’s boyfriend (Kathy Pakyanathan) suffers in silence. Will David be able to convince? Will he be able to rebel against his tormentor? For AlloCiné, the actor makes some revelations about the continuation of this complex story.
AlloCiné: Can we say that David is influenced by Hippolytus in “Here It All Begins”?
Liam Hellman: Yes, of course. It all starts with David being selfish because he feels that he is worthless in the eyes of the people he loves, especially Deva. For someone who likes to make people laugh, this broke his morale… and Hippolytus arrived just then. This fueled this power in which David allowed himself to be beaten to make it better for him… but at what cost?
How did you prepare this ark?
I got interested and there are cases in the kitchen and hotel industry. These are very serious cases. I’ve seen a lot of testimonials, a lot of videos. It was through watching that I was able to get the inspiration to come up with this game.
How will Deva support David in this difficult time?
Deva is the person who has the first doubt because it is part of his personal life. From the beginning, she feels that there is something sinister, she feels that David is changing. When he reveals the truth, it will either be a great relief or a burden…
The institute is mobilized for David in any case. what will he feel
He doesn’t like it. In such moments, many people come to help, but they don’t know how to act… In David’s case, it’s a bit embarrassing and limits him even more. The one who helps David the best is Deva because she never crosses the line.
Can David end his rebellion against Hippolytus “This is where it all begins”?
It’s funny because people on the street ask me every time:But when do you let him?“(Laughs) We’re actually so petrified in this situation that no, we don’t want to give up at all. When you’re under the influence, it’s very difficult to rebel… But if there’s a rebellion in the story. shows
Is David’s career in danger?
He has a lot going on in his head: on the one hand, he wants to prove to Deva and the people at the institute that he is worthy and can do this job. But on the other hand, no one knows that he is exposed to Hippolytus’ methods… this could push him to the exit and put his career in jeopardy.
What is your relationship with Tom November?
We were very good on the set! I have a friend who did something similar in a movie, and he told me that he didn’t talk to the opposite actor at all in order to increase the distance on the screen. So I told myself I was going to do the same! But Tom came to see me so smiling, so kind, so caring… It was impossible not to talk to the end!
Tell us about filming the shocking scene where Hippolyte punches David multiple times…
Luckily, Tom was there with his experience… I, in my stupidity at first, wanted to really strike! Luckily she said no and it went really well. We filmed that at the end of the day, he and I had a great day. We were afraid of exhaustion, but in the end it strengthened the scene. At least they were fake slugs! There was a stuntman on the set who was there to make sure everything was fine.
David and Lisandro’s relationship developed a lot. What do you think ?
This relationship is quite funny. I like him very much. It’s a bit like a mentor who wants to show David how to do things, but not in the right way. Lisandro is caring but a little hurt. This relationship is the right people, but not the right time, I think.
How do you rate “This Is Where It All Begins” from your journey so far?
It is a very good series, a very good school. I was able to photograph beautiful things like this arch and I hope to photograph others as well. I’m very happy to be in the series, it’s a chance. If I shoot like that on screen and have the stuff to play like that, I’ll be around for a long time! (laughs)
