In 2015, Disney released a live-action version of the classic Cinderella directed by Kenneth Branagh. The role of this princess was first requested by actress Emma Watson.
But the latter refuses the offer, arguing that this iconic character does not correspond sufficiently to the values he wants to convey. Two years later, she would still lend her features to another Disney character, Belle, in the live-action version of Beauty and the Beast.
