Stephen King has little in common with many acclaimed adaptations of his stories, but this is a version that the cult author considers one of his favorites.

The enlightened one is considered one of the best horror films of all time, but the the author of the original book strongly disagrees: second Stephen Kingthe film of Stanley Kubrick it strays too far from the center of the story and loses sight of the Overlook Hotel as the true protagonist. But the writer has a favorite adaptation.



Whose, one of Stephen King’s favorite film versions, is available to rent on Prime Video and Apple TV. The legend of horror described the narrative of Lewis Teague as “great”, despite some deliberate deviations from the original story – and its interpretation DeWallace as the best performance ever in a King film.
