Apple TV+ announced on Thursday (26) the production of a new documentary focusing on the death of John Lennon, former member of the band , one of the best known rock bands in the world. Titled as John Lennon: murder without trial (Murder Without A Trial, in English), the series will be divided into three parts, but none of them have a release date yet.
According to BGR, to build the narrative, the production of John Lennon: murder without trial obtained, through Freedom of Information Act requests, access to information from the NYPD, the Parole Board, and the District Attorney’s Office.
According to Apple TV+, the documentary sheds new light on the life and murder of the rock idol.
John Lennon: Murder Without A Trial is the most in-depth examination of the 1980 murder of John Lennon, which shocked and saddened the world. The production received numerous Freedom of Information Act requests from the New York City Police Department, the Parole Board and the District Attorney’s Office, and the series includes exclusive interviews with eyewitnesses speaking for the first time.

The Beatles’ last song will feature John Lennon’s vocals
Apple TV+ didn’t choose this week to announce the new documentary series by chance. The group confirmed on Thursday (26) the revitalization of an old Lennon demo which will mark the release of the group’s last song, entitled Occasionally.
Along with the song, a series about the production of the hit, which used artificial intelligence to isolate and recreate Lennon’s voice, will also be available on Disney+.

John Lennon died on December 8, 1980 after Mark David Chapman shot him four times in the back at close range. There was no trial for Chapman because he contradicted his lawyer, pleaded guilty and was sentenced to life in prison.
