Drake & Josh’s Josh Peck Almost Played Edward Cullen in Twilight

Can you imagine Edward Cullen played by another actor besides Robert Pattinson? Well, that almost happened. In an interview with podcast Good Guyscommanded by Josh Peckthe actor of the series Drake & Josh revealed that he was among the finalists to play the teenage vampire in Twilight.

“I remember this was like 2006. They told me, ‘Audition for this movie, Twilight, which is based on a book and is going to be great.’ So, I sent my tape for the role of Edward. A month later, I was with my manager and he said, ‘It’s between you and three guys. You’re close'”remembered.

Peck He also said that he was incredulous at the possibility of playing the character, as he is described as the most handsome man ever seen by Bella Swanlived by Kristen Stewart in the saga: “I thought, ‘There’s no way. He has to be so shirtless, it’s not going to happen'”the actor continued, adding that he had not yet had a tummy tuck at the time of the auditions.

“But I remember seeing Robert Pattinson playing this role and I thought, ‘What the hell world were they in? Okay, we’re thinking here: Chris Hemsworth or Stanley Tucci?’ Like this? Impossible!”concluded the actor, joking about the possibility.
