The classic between Barcelona and Real Madrid

Barcelona took an offensive position from the start this Saturday and came out ahead. On his first good finish, in the 6th minute, Real Madrid’s Tchouaméni tried to cut out a pass, but ended up feeding Gundogan in front of the goal. Alaba tried to regain possession, but the ball went to the midfielder, who hit Kepa low.

In the 16th minute Barça came close to doubling their lead. Gavi steals the ball from Toni Kross on the edge of the area and the ball falls to Fermín López. The midfielder risked a shot into the left corner, but hit the post. In the 27th minute, João Félix threw a marker at Rudiger and headed towards goal, at the last moment Carvajal appeared to cut. Without any great opportunities from Real Madrid, the match ended at half-time with a 1-0 lead for the home team.

At the start of the second half Kepa saves the Merengues. Iñigo Martínez gets up and heads at the foot of the right post. Araújo hits the target on the rebound, but the Real Madrid goalkeeper intervenes to save. Barcelona remains superior and tries twice with João Canelo, at 13 and 19, both on the crossbar.

Real Madrid put Ter Stegen in difficulty for the first time in the 21st minute. Tchouaméni risks from distance and the goalkeeper saves. The second time, however, it didn’t work for the German archer. Jude Bellingham receives the ball on the edge of the area and releases a bomb, which explodes in the back of the Barça net, 1-1.

When the lights went out, Carvajal entered the area. Halfway through the race Modric tried to dominate and made a mistake. The mistake, however, turned into a perfect pass for Bellingham. The Englishman strikes first from the center of the area, reversing the situation.
