Disney’s subscription streaming platform, Star+, covers adult content produced by the studio. While its brother Disney+ focuses on content for children and teenagers or for the whole family, Star+ deals with more mature entertainment and sporting events.
Star+ therefore offers in its catalog the main horror productions owned by Disney, such as 20th Century Studios, Searchlight Pictures, Touchstone Pictures and Hulu. While classic horror options are limited, Star+ has an interesting collection of recent titles in the genre.

Actress Rebecca Hall stars in this psychological horror as a widow dealing with the sudden death of her husband. However, strange events and a disturbing presence begin to haunt her.

The cast of “The Dark House” also includes Sarah Goldberg, Evan Jonigkeit, Stacy Martin and Vondie Curtis-Hall.

This is an ideal choice for those who want a horror film with a hint of social satire. Directed by Justin Simien (“Dear White People”), this production combines elements of horror and comedy to address issues of beauty standards and racism.
The film is set in 1989 and follows a young assistant at a music television network. Trying to advance her career, she is forced to abandon her natural hairstyle and straighten her hair. However, she chooses to use a hair extension. Meanwhile, your new hair seems to have a life of its own.
In addition to Elle Lorraine as the protagonist, the film features Jay Pharoah, Lena Waithe, Kelly Rowland, Vanessa Williams, Laverne Cox, Blair Underwood and Usher.

Mixing crime thriller and supernatural horror, “The Last Day Messenger” is based on the comic book series of the same name. The film stars James Badge Dale, who plays a grieving ex-cop assigned to investigate the disappearance of a teenage girl.
However, when young people in the region mysteriously disappear, residents begin to suspect that an urban legend known as “The Hollow Man” is responsible. As the police officer delves deeper into his investigation, he stumbles across a secret group and terrible secrets.

James Gunn produces this film which presents a dark reimagining of Superman. “Brightburn” tackles the theme of superheroes in a completely different and sinister way.
In the story, a couple finds an alien baby on a spaceship that crashes on Earth and decide to raise him as their own child. However, as the boy grows and begins to manifest his superpowers, instead of becoming a hero, he uses them to cause harm.
Elizabeth Banks and David Denman play the adoptive parents, while Jackson A. Dunn plays the sinister “superhero.”

Highly praised by critics, “Run!” is a horror film directed and written by Jordan Peele, a director who achieved great prominence thanks to this production. The film uses elements of the horror genre to create a metaphor about structural racism in contemporary society.
Daniel Kaluuya plays a young black man who is about to meet the parents of his white girlfriend (Allison Williams). At first they all seem like normal, welcoming people. However, the protagonist soon begins to notice strange behavior and comes across terrible secrets about this family.
The cast also includes Catherine Keener, Bradley Whitford, Caleb Landry Jones, Stephen Root, Lakeith Stanfield and Lil Rel Howery.
