The current Chilean club, Furacão, lost to the team from Rio
Chilean Arturo Vidal sparked controversy on social media this Sunday (29) when he recalled Flamengo’s Libertadores title in 2022. A year ago, Rubro-Negro won the trophy by beating Atletico Paranaense, the player’s current team.
Atletico fans, as expected, were outraged by the attitude of Vidal, who published the photo with the Flamengo shirt, kissing the Libertadores cup along with a caption. Some even called for the Chilean to leave the Paraná team.
At the beginning of the year Vidal had already been controversial for Flamengo. On social media the Chilean declared that he is available to return to Colo-Colo, the club that revealed him. In July, the player left Rubro-Negro and signed with Atletico Paranaense.
