After 3 days at most, Philippe Lachaux’s gang fights a marsupial: “There won’t be too many CGI’s”

Since I Married My Friend in 2017, Tarek Budal and Philippe Lachaux have alternated performances. Eight months later with the success of Alibi.com 2’s Lacheau Tarek Budal who publishes his action comedy for a maximum of 3 days.

In this movie, Ryan, a clumsy cop, has to rescue his grandmother kidnapped by a Mexican cartel. Together with his loyal colleagues, he experiences extreme adventures between Paris, Abu Dhabi and Mexico. The film for which Tarek Budali did not hesitate to climb a 330-meter high tower with his bare hands.

With the release of the feature film – which has opened very well in cinemas – we asked the film team about their upcoming projects. And it’s neither 3 hours max nor Alibi.com 3, even if those movies see the light of day in a few years.

Their next film is none other than Philippe Lachaux’s Marsupilami. The feature film, announced last June, is a new adaptation of Andre Franckin’s work, 11 years after Alain Shabbat’s version, which drew 5.3 million viewers.

The film is inspired by a comic book created by a Belgian author in 1952. Marsupilami first appeared in the Spiru and Fantasia series before having his own comics.

The whole “Fifi gang” at the Marsupillam casting

If we still didn’t know anything about the casting of Philippe Lachaux’s film when the project was announced, the latter told us that there would be a loyal group of his friends in the film. Julien Arout, Tarek Budal and Elodie Fontaine – currently filming the TV series Cat’s Eyes – should therefore appear in the casting.

Philippe Lachaux said on our microphone:Marsupillam is going very well, we are in the middle of writing. It’s a new world, it’s very interesting to write, to do, like all new projects.”

And what about the yellow creature with black spots, endowed with superhuman strength, measuring about 1 meter and having a prehensile tail that can extend up to 8 meters? Philippe Lachaux remains shrouded in mystery, but we still believe: “It won’t be an actor, but if all goes well, there won’t be too much CGI either“.
