On Wednesday, November 1, it all starts here…
Leonard leaves the institute
Tessier calls Leonard into his office to tell him he has no choice but to fire him. Otherwise, Hippolytus will drop a complaint against him, and he will risk prison. Teissier and Antoine sympathize with Leonardo. They encourage him not to give up, try his luck at another school next year and rely on his friends.
Back in his room at the boarding house, Leonard shares the sad news with Ethan and Maya. The latter refuses to stay in the institute without his best friend. But Leonard insists he stay. He also thanks Ethan for defending him against Teysier. Three friends hug each other.
At Double A, Ethan and Maya rebel against Hippolyte and reveal to their comrades that he shot David and freed Leonard. They refuse to continue their classroom lessons with him and try in vain to drag other students along. Tom, the appointed new butler, decides to stay.
For his part, Lisandro absolutely wants to find a way to free du Chesnay. He advises Teyssier and Antoine to find former victims who are likely to talk. With the green light from his superiors, Lysandro arranges a meeting with Stanislaus, Hippolytus’ son, at a local cafe. He explains to her about his father’s actions, which he experienced while training him. Stanislas, on the other hand, confirms that his father never laid a hand on him. However, he remembers the man who complained about being beaten by him. Since he had just been released, everyone assumed it was a revenge story. At the same time, Teissier joins the two men in the cafe to put pressure on Stanislaus. The latter does not appreciate the approach and refuses to overthrow his father.
Meanwhile, David pours himself a glass of whiskey with an eye on taking it to a coffee shop that’s only willing to give him one. Leonard comes to find her and tells her that he has been fired. David seems indifferent to her fate, even admitting that he thinks he deserves to be beaten by Du Chesney. When Leonard tells him about his experience at the house, David sends him away. Leonard raises his voice to let her know that he must speak up so that Du Chesnay does not continue to abuse others. When David listens, Leonard leaves him alone. David then waits until Gaitan’s back is turned to pour another glass of alcohol…
Mark Leroy returned to the Institute
Returning from Egypt, Mark Leroy meets his two sons outside the institute as they prepare to clean the cafeteria where they celebrated the previous day. If Teissier finds out what they did and is unhappy about it, Mark takes it lightly.
A little later, at the park, Jimmy confides in his brother that he thinks his father is too cool and rudely blames him for not yelling at them for the party the day before. Meanwhile, Vickie, Kelly, and Enzo arrive to wish him a Halloween night that turns out to be a huge success, especially Lionel’s prank.
Leroy immediately resumes classes in the first years. He invites them to work in pairs on a traditional dish from another country with a typical French twist. Malik decides to work with Jim, whose work he discovered thanks to a Halloween party. If Jim turns out to be more serious in class, ideas flow between the two boys. They decide to go with Chinese ravioli with a typical French filling.
After class, Mark meets Emmanuel in the park. The latter calls a friend at a party organized by his sons. Mark downplays the situation and even sees a positive in it as he notices that it allows Jim to socialize with other students.
Tom doubts himself
After moving to Double A, Tom joins Billy, who is drinking coffee with his brother in town. Evidently, the Due Chesney case had made its way around the institute and reached Chris’s ears. As a police officer, the latter believes that Tommy, like Ethan and Maya, should have rebelled against Du Chesney. Tom tries to justify himself that he couldn’t risk getting a zero. Faced with insistence from Chris, who calls him a coward, Tom leaves. Billy then scolds his brother to stop attacking his girlfriend.
Later, in Guino’s class, second and third year students work on the flambé technique. Tom works with Kelly and Thibault. Although he pretends not to be afraid, Tom is still a little nervous. However, he deals with the fire himself and is mocked by his comrades as he jumps away from the fire.
After class, Tommy goes for a walk in the marshes with Billy. She notices that he is busy. She tries to reassure him that he is not the first of her boyfriends to suffer from her brother’s judgment. Tom replies that the problem is more global: he deeply doubts his manhood. However, Bill appreciates her tenderness and sensitivity.
Meanwhile, Chris meets Enzo and Vic at the institute. He tries to get information from them about the couple he is forming with his sister Tom. Thus, he learns that Tom wasn’t the most popular student while he was dating Billy…
