San Paolo opens space to autistic fans at the Morumbi stadium

On Tuesday evening, San Paolo inaugurated a new environment at the Morumbi stadium. This is the TEA+ Tricolor Room, aimed at autistic enthusiasts, with reception and sensory regulation.

The room was created in collaboration with Spider and will also be equipped with services managed by the Lumi Center. Both companies specialize in projects for people with autism spectrum disorder.

Thanks to projects aimed at the autistic public, São Paulo became the first Brazilian football team to receive the “Tutti Noi” seal, offered by the National Association for the Inclusion of Autistic People.

During San Paolo matches at Morumbi, autistic fans will sit on chairs close to the TEA+Tricolor Hall, having easy access to the environment and with some equipment available, such as noise-cancelling headphones, as well as specialists trained to provide support in case of possible deregulation. .

During periods in which Morumbi will not host matches, the TEA+Tricolore Room will be used for the treatments offered by the Lumi Centre. Sao Paulo members will have a discount on services.

The new environment of the Morumbi stadium was created thanks to the work of the São Paulo Ombudsman’s Office, which received requests from families with autistic children. Since then the club has begun to study and work on the most appropriate ways to welcome these fans.
