Endrick speaks to Palmeiras alive for the title and celebrates the performance: “I like the match”

Man of the match in Palmeiras’ epic 4-3 win over Botafogo, striker Endrick proved he was all that. The 17-year-old scored two goals, was involved in another and said after the match that he likes big matches.

“It’s the game I like. My friends, my father, my coaches, I’m a player who asserts himself in difficult moments. I like to deconstruct criticism, I like to show what I am, I’m a happy boy now with more maturity,” Endrick told “Globo” after the match.

After scoring the first goal, the number 9 asked his teammates to trust him and went away shouting “give me the ball”. Shortly after, he scored Verdão’s second goal, which left the club alive in the match.

Endrick revealed he was troubled before the match by Botafoguenses’ arrogance. During the warm-up the Juventus fans shouted “he is a champion”, motivating the Juventus team.

“Botafogo has everything to be champion, but Palmeiras is like that, they will never stop chasing. One thing that struck me was the people in the crowd. When they shouted champion in the warm-up I wanted… it’s difficult to talk about hatred in the my heart, but our fans came to support us, but I wouldn’t let them shout that they would become champions. I will fight every second to win this Brasileirão. I can win my second Brazilian. I’m simply grateful for these two goals”, said l ‘striker.
