The term “Last Dance” has become popular in recent months since the release of the series of that name on Netflix. It was used by coach Phil Jackson to describe what would have been his last season (1997/1998) and that of great players, such as Michael Jordan, of the Chicago Bulls, in the golden era of the franchise. At the time, the team was experiencing magical years, with six titles in the 90s. Thinking a little about the situation of Fluminense, finalist of the Libertadores, it is possible to imagine that the team that took the decision of the tournament should, yes, in some parts will be disbanded at the end of the season. We are therefore faced with another “last dance”, or “last waltz”, as you prefer.
Who can leave Fluminense?
It’s not easy to answer this question, but it’s possible to imagine names like Nino, Jhon Arias and the youngsters AndrĂ© and Alexsander leaving the club at the end of the season. The major European clubs have already speculated on all of them.
André said no to a practically indispensable proposal from Liverpool, from England. The Premier League giant offered no less than 30 million euros (around R$ 157 million), but the youngster has decided to stay, for now, at Fluminense to play in the Libertadores final
Arias, in turn, at 26 years old, was the target of rumors. Fluminense knows that there is a possibility of losing him in 2024. According to data from the Transfermarkt website, the Colombian has an estimated market value of eight million euros, around 42 million reals. He has a contract with Influenza until August 2026. Recently, Arias has been considered for clubs such as Porto, Sporting and his name has been linked to Premier League teams.
Nino is another who could leave Fluminense at the end of the season. Recently, Tricolor rejected an offer of 6 million euros (around R$32 million) from Turkish club Besiktas for the defender. Diniz’s captain is also in the sights of Al-Shabab, of Saudi Arabia, and should soon receive other offers.
Alexsander is also in the sights of European clubs who, according to Uol, could pay 10 million euros for the 20-year-old midfielder. He has a contract with Fluminense until 2026 and is seen as one of the youngsters who could bring millions to the Tricolore very soon.
