The fourth season of ‘Stranger Things’ beat season 2 of ‘The Bridgertons’, which held the previous record.
‘Stranger Things’ has broken another record on Netflix by becoming the most watched English series in the history of the platform.
The fourth season of the Duffer brothers’ series, which has cast several episodes among the best episodes of ‘Stranger Things’, has added 159.24 million hours viewed in the last week for a total of 781.04 million hours watched in 17 days, surpassing ‘The Bridgertons’ whose second (656 million) and first (625 million) seasons now rank second and third in Netflix’s ranking, respectively.
The first batch of episodes of season 4 of ‘Stranger Things’, which revealed to us who is Vecna, the main villain, got the best premiere on the platform with 286.79 million hours in 3 daysthen added another 335.01 million hours in its first full week (another Netflix record) and in recent days, in its second full week, it has added 159.24 million more.
The total of 781.04 million hours watched puts ‘Stranger Things 4’ in second place on the all-time overall list, since First place goes to a non-English speaking series: ‘The Squid Game’. The Netflix ranking, which counts the first 28 days of each premiere, is led by the impressive 1.65 billion hours viewed which achieved the South Korean series worldwide. As the progression goes, ‘Stranger Things’ will surely remain in that second place without surpassing ‘The Squid Game’.
‘Stranger Things 4’ has also broken another mark for series in English on the streaming platform by reaching #1 on Netflix in 91 countries.
The last two episodes of the fourth season of ‘Stranger Things’ will be released on July 1, and we already have details of season 5 of ‘Stranger Things’, which will be the final closure.
