Boca fans clash with police

Deplorable scenes! Before the Libertadores final between Fluminense and Boca Juniors, the fans of the Argentine team clashed with the police at the E entrance of the Maracanã, the sector intended for the Xeneizes. Fortunately, the police intervened immediately. Furthermore, the authorities confronted many people without tickets trying to enter the stadium.

It’s worth mentioning that this wasn’t the first confusion to embroil Boca Juniors fans this week. Last Thursday (02), Argentine fans fought with Rio fans on the sand of Copacabana beach.

The Libertadores champion will receive a prize of 18 million dollars, approximately 90 million reais. The vice president, in turn, will receive $7 million, worth approximately 35 million reais. Fluminense, second in 2008, again at the Maracanã, is looking for its first title. Boca is now looking for its seventh title. In this way they would equal their rival Independiente, greatest champion and heptad since 1984.

Boca Juniors reaches the Libertadores final with six knockout draws. This is because, in the previous stages, it was on par with Nacional do Uruguay, Racing da Argentina and Palmeiras. Fluminense eliminated Argentinos Jrs from Argentina with a win and a draw, Olimpia from Paraguay with two wins and Internacional with a draw and a win.
