After the unprecedented victory of the Libertadores, Fluminense opened the doors of its headquarters, in Laranjeiras, to let the fans celebrate. The title came with a 2-1 victory over Boca Juniors, at the Maracanã. However, the military police ordered the celebrations to end for security reasons. On the microphone, DJ Nath, who would have performed together with DJ Saci, announced the early end of the party, arousing the indignation of the Italians present at the stadium.
During that time, the fans took flags, flares and drums and promised to organize another big celebration, which will not happen. The club even started selling alcoholic drinks and setting off fireworks to celebrate, before the club’s decision. The Tricolores expected the presence of the players, which was proven wrong a few minutes later. Fans cursed Rio de Janeiro mayor Eduardo Paes after the decision.
With the title, Fluminense enters the register of the eleven Brazilian teams that hold the Copa Libertadores trophy: the Rio team will thus receive the prize of 18 million dollars for the title (around 90 million reais). Furthermore, the team secured a place in the Club World Cup in the 2025 special edition.

Tricolor celebration in Cinelândia
During the 2-1 victory over Boca Juniors, at the Maracanã, the tricolors also organized an impeccable party in Cinelândia. During the match there was a lot of celebration, flares and no confusion. The screen set up on site broke down before the start of the match, but everything returned to normal and broadcast a title that has gone down in the club’s history.
In this sense, the atmosphere was peaceful and full of celebration, with fans from different states present at the venue, in the center of Rio de Janeiro. The meet and greet featured fans dressed as heroes like Spider-Man and Iron Man, as well as a dog dressed in green, white and brown. It’s worth mentioning that some Flamengo and Vasco fans were present, but there was no sign of confusion.
