Austin Butler Revealed ‘Triggers’ That Make Him Talk Like Elvis Months After Filming Wrapped Up
Austin Butler made an intense preparation to live Elvis in theaters and revealed that it wasn’t so easy to get out of character. Even after filming ends, the actor admits that he still “can’t” stop talking like the Rock king at times due to “triggers.”
“It’s funny because certain situations trigger, I think,” he said in an interview with Yahoo! lifestyle. “I mean, that was the voice I spoke for two years. It’s so natural at the end, you break up and you kind of don’t remember what your real voice is.”
In another interview, for Elle Australia, Butler explained that “making the voice” of the Elvis helped him face shyness in interviews. “I am a shy person, and when I know that there are parts of Elvis that I would have to wear to go on stage and be in front of a ton of people, surrounded by his name everywhere, it becomes a trigger,” he said.
Butler He added: “You spend so much time obsessing over one thing, and it’s like muscle habits, your mouth can change. It’s amazing.”
