Brazil will face England in March at Wembley Stadium

The Brazilian team will play a friendly against England on March 23, at Wembley Stadium, London, the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) said on Monday, in Brazil’s first match in the March 2024 FIFA period.

According to the CBF, this will be the English team’s first match in six years against a South American team. The last clash between Brazil and England dates back to 2017 and ended in a goalless draw.

The entity had already announced that Brazil will also face Spain in March 2024.

“The objective is always to close the Brazilian team’s matches against the big teams, especially the world champions, in order to have clashes of a high technical level, which also allow an evaluation of the Brazilian team’s performance in tests like these “, CBF president Ednaldo Rodrigues said in a statement.

Brazil is in third place in the South American qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, with 7 points, the same number as second-placed Uruguay. World champion Argentina leads with 12 points.
