Taking advantage of the hype Barbie AND Oppenheimer, which gave rise to the term Barbenheimer, Charles Band, a film producer and director known for his work on horror comedies, has announced a new project that brings together this year’s two biggest cinematic hits. According to THR, the director is just looking for funding to start filming.
The real world of Bambi J Barbenheimer, the doll from the new film, will show the fate of dolls in the hands of some children. Shocked, the junction of Barbie with Oppenheimer decides to build a nuclear bomb to destroy everything.
It’s an opportunity to have fun with the partnership of the two films and with the energy of Barbie and the sobriety of Oppenheimer. Mix the two and you have a great opportunity for dark humor.

The forecasts indicate this Barbenheimer will have a budget of $1 million. Filming is expected to begin in 2024.
What is Barbenheimer?
With releases scheduled for the same day, fans of Barbie AND Oppenheimer he blocked the expression kicking off a fierce competition between the two most anticipated films of 2023.
The phenomenon became even more real when both productions each reached more than $50 million in their debut, establishing a lead and vice-lead with these revenues for the first time in history.
Since the Internet is the Internet, several memes also took over social media at the time, with one production “invading” the other’s space – even a trailer for the film. Barbie with Cillian Murphy, protagonist in Oppenheimer, was created (see here!).
Thus, one film ended up stimulating the other: with viewers becoming interested in the live-action Barbie, and fans of the doll wanting to understand who Oppenheimer (creator of the atomic bomb) was.
Both films won several titles, but Barbieobviously, it had the most prominence, remaining at the top of the box office for 10 weeks straight (even with the film already streaming). Oppenheimer it also continued to make millions even after two months in theaters, becoming the biggest biopic of all time.
