The Dune derivative series is postponed and gets a new title

The series derived from Dune should debut only between September and November 2024 on HBO Max. The confirmation was given by the president of HBO, Casey Bloys. Additionally, the production, previously titled Dune: The Sisterhood, has changed its name to Dune: The Prophecy.

Meanwhile, Dune: Part 2 hits theaters on March 14 and will bring back several names from the cast from the first film, such as Zendaya, Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Dave Bautista, Javier Bardem, and Josh Brolin. Among the newcomers stand out Florence Pugh, Christopher Walken, Léa Seydoux, Austin Butler and Tim Blake Nelson.

In the film, Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet) is an aristocrat whose family accepts control of the desert planet Arrakis, producer of a precious resource and contested by several noble families. He is forced to flee into the desert—with the help of his mother—and joins the nomadic tribes, eventually leading them thanks to his advanced mental abilities.

Dune, released in 2021, achieved a box office of $402 million worldwide, approximately R$1.9 billion.
