The couple Monica and Chandler is a fan favorite of “Friends,” but, in the original script, the duo would have a different story than the one we saw: the character would cheat on his girlfriend after an argument in Las Vegas. Matthew Perry, the Chandler actor who died on the 28th, was the one who prevented this from happening, claiming that fans would never forgive him.

However, a few days before recording the scene, Cash was informed that the script had changed: Perry had gone to the writers and asked them to exclude the betrayal.
We had rehearsed and everything…. We were rehearsing in front of a live audience, and then I was told that Perry had gone to the writers and said that the audience would never forgive Chandler for cheating on Monica. He was probably right! This would have changed the course of the series and his character.

In the end, Cash’s participation was not ruled out and she became the plane’s secretary who appears in the same episode, in a scene with Ross (David Schwimmer) and Rachel (Jennifer Aniston).

Matthew Perry
Matther Perry was known for his role as Chandler in “Friends” and other comedy productions, such as the films “Seventeen Again” and “My Mafioso Neighbor.”
He died on October 28 at the age of 54. The actor was found in the bathtub of his Los Angeles residence. The cause of his death was believed to be drowning, but has not yet been confirmed. There was not even a trace of drugs or medications on site.
After Perry’s death, some “Friends” storylines resurfaced, and the series’ main cast was seen arriving at his funeral together.
