According to Yann Demange, director of the reboot of Lama, by Marvel, the film will have a decidedly high rating: only for those over 18 years old. To Deadline, the director explained that the studio has given approval for a more adult production.
They give me [a classificação] A, which is very important. For Blade we will have fun because Mahershala is a very profound actor. I’m excited to show the kind of cruelty and tenacity that allows him to be the way he is. I love him for this. He’s dignified and fair, but he’s ferocious in a way that you don’t see a lot. I want to get him to release it and put it on the screen.

Lama It was the first Marvel production to be shut down due to the Hollywood actors’ and screenwriters’ strike. Before the delay, the film was scheduled to premiere on September 6, 2024, but it’s worth mentioning that production has been postponed multiple times. The original release, in fact, was for November of this year.
Since it was officially announced in 2019, the reboot has faced problems, changes and budget cuts, even putting Ali’s continued tenure as the protagonist at risk.
The film also had difficulty finding a director and screenwriter until it found Yann Demangev and Nic Pizzolatto for the roles. In the case of Pizzolatto, now with the end of the strike, the history of the film begins to be rewritten based on the draft by Michael Starrbury, the previous screenwriter.
The last film of the trilogy Lama with Snipes was released in 2002. Previous productions had been directed by none other than Stephen Norrington, Guillermo del Toro and David Goyer, respectively, and distributed by New Line. In 2012, the rights to the character, based on Marvel Comics, were returned to Marvel Studios.
