The Claro Uphill Marathon returns to Rio de Janeiro for the Corcovado stage. The circuit celebrated 10 years of existence this year in Serra do Rio do Rastro (SC) and now closes the season in style at the foot of Christ the Redeemer, in Cidade Maravilhosa.
Very popular, the event will move to the capital of Rio for the second time, at the end of November (25), and there are the last places available on the website https://uphillmarathon.com.br/corcovado-23/. The previous year, with the races starting at sunset and ending on the steps of Christ the Redeemer, the stage had mobilized more than 2 thousand athletes on distances of 8 km and 21 km inside the Tijuca National Park, one of the urban forests largest in the world.
This year the Uphill Marathon arrives with another great innovation for those who want to become a Ninja Runner. In addition to the traditional 21km, the main attractions of the event include the 5km walk and the 10km run, encouraging and offering beginners to hill running the opportunity to experience a new experience in the world of running.
The 10 kilometer race passes through Mirante Dona Marta, one of the main postcards of Rio de Janeiro. The place offers a complete view of Sugar Loaf and Christ the Redeemer.
