Lionsgate has just announced the release date for the sequel to Dirty Dance featuring Jennifer Gray.
The sequel to the cult movie “Dirty Dancing with Jennifer Gray” (played by Baby in 1987) will be released on American screens for Valentine’s Day, February 9, 2024. A symbolic date for the second part of this cult romantic comedy.
Official last May, at CinemaCon, Dirty Dancing 2 marks the return of a child to Kellerman’s boarding house after 35 years since the memorable summer of John (Patrick Swayze).
The first Dirty Dancing grossed nearly $ 218 million at the international box office and won an Oscar and a Golden Globe for Best Original Song. (I had) time in my life.
The sequel was released as a remake in 2004 starring Diego Luna and Romola Garay. In 2017, the roles of the cult couple in the new version were taken over by Abigail Breslin and Colt Pratt.
If Patrick Swayze briefly appeared in 2004 as a dance teacher in Dirty Dancing 2, this is the first time Jennifer Gray has taken on the role that revealed this.
According to Lionsgate CEO John Feltheimer, this is a continuation ““Exactly the romantic and nostalgic film that fans have been waiting for.”.
