Charlie Sheen and Chuck Lorre buried the hatchet. Twelve years after the actor was fired for excesses on the set of Mon Oncle Charlie — AlloCiné recaps the whole story here — the two men are teaming up again for Bookie.

This new series, for the HBO Max platform, is hosted by Sebastian Maniscalco, who, among others, can be seen in the Martin Scorsese films The Green Book and The Irishman.

He plays Danny, an old-school bookie struggling to survive amid the impending legalization of sports betting. Not only does his lifestyle force him to move all over town, but he also has to deal with increasingly volatile clients, his family and colleagues.

Charlie Sheen only appears as a guest star in the series, but this return does not go unnoticed. For many years, the star was one of the leading faces of American television. The trailer for Bookie, recently released by HBO Max, shows a small glimpse of the actor’s appearance.

The book arrives in the US on November 30th. In France, a release date has not yet been announced. Charlie Sheen fans will have to be patient.
