Salazar Slytherin was one of the founders of the Hogwarts School. He was distinguished for his ability to speak Parseltongue (the language of snakes) and his great mastery in mythology (reading and interpretation of a person’s mind).
Moreover, his ideology of “purebreds” was so radical that he did not want to accept the wizards as mystics. Because the co-founders did not share his opinion, he left Hogwarts and built a Chamber of Secrets with a royal means.
The second film of the epic (and the second book) revealed that Tom Riddle, also known as Lord Voldemort, was one of his descendants.
However, what few know is that the founder of the American College of Magic and Witchcraft and Wizardry, Ilvermorny, was also his cousin and the fate of the Slytherin wand is associated with it.
Isolt Sayre, the descendant of Salazar Slytherin who founded her own College of Magic
To understand what happened to Salazar Slytherin’s wand, you must first meet his descendant, the witch Isolt Sayre.
According to the Wizarding World website, Isolt was born in 1603 in Ireland to a family of “purebred” magicians. He grew up with his parents in a Muggle neighborhood, until they died in a fire.
Gormlaith’s aunt then took care of him. However, some time later it was learned that he actually lit the fire to stay with Isolt and raise her away from people, for fear that he would marry one of them.
At the age of 11, the girl received her letter of acceptance at Hogwarts, but her aunt did not allow her to attend due to Salazar’s quarrel with the other founders. Six years later, Isolt mustered up the courage to leave home in America, but took with her her aunt’s wand, which was actually from Slytherin.
Just in America, Isolt Sayre adopted two children of magicians: Chadwick and Webster, who were orphaned when a magical animal killed their parents. In addition, she married Muggle James Steward.
So they built the Ilvermony Academy together, in one of the forests of Massachusetts (in this TikTok video you can see the houses of the school).

Salazar Slytherin’s powerful royal core stick deactivated with parseltongue
When the College of Magic was already known and Isolt had raised her family by giving birth to a series of twin girls, Gormlaith’s aunt reappeared in her life.
First she cursed her and her husband in a peaceful sleep, then spoke Parseltongue on Slytherin’s stick to turn it off and then tried to rob the twins, but his attack was repulsed.
The famous wizard’s magic wand could never be reactivated, but because Isolt did not want to use it either, she chose to bury it outside her place.
To his surprise, a year later a snake tree sprouted in the same spot. This tree had healing leaves that it used to help magicians and non-magicians.
